Terms of use

Last updated: October 2026

This is an English translation provided for convenience. The French version is the legally binding one.

1. Purpose

These terms of use govern your use of the Eliveo app. By installing or using the app, you accept them. If you don't accept them, don't use the app.

The app is published by Koerans (legal notice). Contact: contact@eliveo.qiveo.co.

How the app handles your data is described in the privacy policy, which is part of these terms.

2. Access to the app

3. Your data is on your phone, in your care

The app has no server. Your recordings and capsules are encrypted on your phone, with a key we don't have. This is what protects your privacy, and it has consequences you accept by using the app:

4. A beta, with no guarantee

The app is still in development. Bugs may happen, features may change, be removed or require an update. It is provided as is, with no guarantee of availability, results or freedom from errors.

A capsule's opening time and its reminders also depend on your phone (clock, battery saving, notification permissions). A notification may therefore arrive late or not show up; the capsule itself stays available in the app.

Your feedback is welcome, at contact@eliveo.qiveo.co or through the Google Play listing. By sending it, you allow us to use it to improve the app, without compensation.

5. What you agree to

6. Your content

What you record belongs to you. We have no access to it and receive no rights over it.

7. Offer for the first 20 sign-ups

The first 20 people to sign up on the website receive unlimited Eliveo for life: unlimited capsules, trigger capsules, encrypted export, and everything the paid offer will include later. In return, we ask for 15 minutes of feedback after two weeks of using the beta, in a conversation or a message.

8. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Koerans is not liable for the loss of your recordings due to the loss of your code, your phrase or your phone, nor for indirect damage related to using the app. Nothing in these terms limits your consumer rights, or our liability for gross negligence or intentional misconduct.

Eliveo is a voice journal, not a care tool. It doesn't replace the advice of a health professional. If you're in distress, contact your local emergency number or a suicide prevention line (3114 in France, free, 24/7).

9. Intellectual property

The app (code, design, text, sounds, logo) belongs to Koerans. You receive a personal, free and non-exclusive right to use it on your devices, for as long as you use it. Any other reproduction or distribution requires our written consent.

10. Duration and termination

You can stop using the app at any time: Profile → Erase all my data, then uninstall. See deleting your data.

We may end the beta or the app. In that case, we'll let you know at least 30 days in advance in the app or on the website, so you have time to export your recordings.

11. Changes

These terms will evolve, especially when a paid offer opens. In case of a significant change, you'll be notified in the app before it takes effect. The current version is always available at eliveo.qiveo.co/en/terms.

12. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by French law. If there's a disagreement, please write to us first at contact@eliveo.qiveo.co: we'll look for an amicable solution. Otherwise, disputes fall under the jurisdiction of the French courts; if you're a consumer, you can bring the matter before the court where you live, and you keep the protections of the law of your country of residence.
